But whether you’re a celebrity or a movie fanatic who can’t wait to attend the TIFF festivities, a spa treatment at one of Toronto’s top spas is just the thing for getting red carpet ready. Not sure where to head? We’ve done the legwork for you! Here are 5 Toronto spas to get you ready for your close up.
The location: Quartz Crystal Spa at Trump International Hotel and Tower (trumptoronto.ca), Toronto
The treatment: Ultimate Oxygen Facial
Price: $200
Why it’s celeb-worthy: All you need to do is step inside this spa to understand why it’s celeb-worthy. The effortlessly elegant décor, combined with the sweeping views of the city (it’s located on the 31st floor), create an exclusive atmosphere that’s oozing Hollywood glamour. The Ultimate Oxygen Facial is all about delivering on its promise to renew cells, repair damage and nourish skin. Two specialty masks are applied during this treatment, to energize cells and supply skin with intense moisture, says Daphne Swenerton, Director of Spa Operations at the Trump International Hotel and Tower, Toronto. All the products used during this treatment come from the premium skin care line Luzern Cosmeceuticals. “All Luzern ingredients are cultivated at a high altitude in the Alps and are rich in anti-oxidants,” says Swenerton. “They’re all organic and free from chemicals, using oxygen to boost cellular reparations and collagen production.”
The location: Concepts Spa & Salon (conceptstoronto.com)
The treatment: Sonolight Facial with Added Collagen
Price: $300
Why it’s celeb-worthy: The Sonolight Facial is a non-invasive treatment designed to restore the look and feel of your skin by targeting everything from wrinkles, crow’s feet, acne scarring, sun damage and enlarged pores. The treatment utilizes products from the skincare brand Swiss Line. “Given the busy schedules of celebrities and their need for instant results, this treatment is amazing for those that need instant results from a facial since it instantly leaves the skin glowing and renewed,” says Anna Ou, a skin specialist at Toronto’s Concepts Spa & Salon. Apparently celebrities like Jessica Alba and Amanda Bynes are known to have indulged in the spa’s services in years past and the staff there is excited to see who comes through the doors this year during TIFF.
