Summer SOS

FEET FIRST Toes rarely wriggle free of winter boots in sandal-worthy condition. So grab the Revlon Pedi-Expert ($14.99) and head for the shower. This all-in-one kit includes an ergonomically-designed foot file, cuticle pusher and nail brush that’ll make feet emerge feeling as if they’ve been to a spa. Or treat your pedal extremities to an Olay Thermal Pedicure ($10.99). This shea butter smoother that heats up on contact has Bora Bora white sand and micro-crystals to rid feet of the nasty bits.

If things are dire, you might want to turn to Origins Reinventing the Heel Mega-moisture ($25), a heavy cream with hydrating rose fruit oil and shea butter and super-sloughing salicylic acid to recondition dry, cracked feet. (They’ll get a kick out of the touch of menthol, too.) Check out the hottest spring nail trends here.

FACE IT After enduring the frigid winds and overheated rooms of winter, your complexion needs some serious help, too. One gentle way to deep clean and remove dulling surface cells is with The Body Shop Vitamin C Face Polish ($16). Jojoba micro-beads do the exfoliation and de-clogging, while the antioxidants in vitamin C encourage collagen production and protect from environmental pollution. The fresh fragrance—from orange and grapefruit essential oils—is just a bonus. Once your skin is primed and smooth, try Dior Hydra Life Pro-Youth Skin Tint SPF 20 ($41); a rare combination of a lightweight moisturizer, plus a sheer-coverage tint (in three shades), plus sun protection. Beauty hat trick!

The necessity of toners is arguable, but when the dog days of summer come barking, you will be glad to have Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner ($43) in your arsenal. It hydrates the skin’s surface, while its aloe vera, balm mint and lavender cool and soothe. Take it with you to work for a mid-afternoon spritz of calm amidst the storm.
