The new way to wear bronzer does not involve contouring

“The modern way to wear bronzer is much more natural, like you’re sun-kissed,” says Maxime Poulin, international makeup artist for Guerlain. “We’re moving away from this highly constructed face.” Starting from the hairline, sweep bronzer horizontally across your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose – exactly where the sun hits you.

“When testing bronzer, go to the inside of the wrist. This is often the palest place on the body and shows your true undertones. Sometimes the face can have more of a tan, and there may be some redness, so it’s a bit trickier,” says Poulin. “You should choose [a shade] that blends with your skin; you just want to enhance it.”
