Makeup and merch! Our two favourite things.

The Met Store is collaborating with makeup god Pat McGrath for an exclusive collection themed around the The Costume Institute's spring 2018 exhibition, Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. This will be the first time The Met Store has ever sold beauty products.

"The Costume Institute's exhibitions are legendary, and I am thrilled to be able to present this exclusive range of products inspired by this prestigious exhibition," said McGrath in a statement. "Religious history and artifacts have always been vital influences on my work, and it is an extraordinary honor for me to be unveiling these new pieces alongside this breathtaking exhibition as the first-ever beauty brand at New York's iconic Met Store."

The limited-edition collection, launching May 8 (the day after the Met Gala), will include a special-edition version of the Mothership IV: Decadence Eyeshadow Palette, as well a new lip gloss, Lust: Gloss Aliengelic. In keeping with this year's theme, the packaging will feature artwork from the collection. The store will also be selling apparel, including t-shirts, and releasing additional new products throughout the exhibition.

The collaboration will be available at the exhibition store at The Met Fifth Avenue, and select items will be available at The Met Cloisters.

For Canadians who don't plan on going to New York any time soon, the collection can also purchased online at store.metmuseum.org as of today, according to the press release—although at the time of publication, the items are not yet up on the site.
