Every ELLE beauty editor in the world agrees: These are the best products on the market right now. Brace yourselves—and your vanities—for the winners of the 2018 ELLE International Beauty Awards.
Gucci Bloom Eau de Parfum Spray ($154 for 100 mL), an addictive white floral, is the debut fragrance from the brand’s creative director, Alessandro Michele. Jasmine-bud extract, rangoon creeper and tuberose absolute are swirled together in this crowd-pleasing juice that Carin Hellman, beauty editor at ELLE Sweden, calls “so modern, so chic.”

L’Occitane Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream ($49) is heavy on the shea butter: The concentration is a whopping 25 percent! “This literally saves my skin from harsh Quebec winters,” says Angélique Martel, beauty director at ELLE Québec.
Barbara Huber, beauty director at ELLE Germany, says Vichy Idéal Soleil Anti-Sand Milk is “the best companion for a day at the beach.” Note: This lightweight lotion, which is absorbed quickly into skin, is not yet available in Canada. Grab it on your next Euro trip.
When Lavinia Gogu, beauty editor at ELLE Romania, skips the gym, she applies Clarins Body Fit ($68) as a “consolation prize.” “It makes my skin feel tighter,” she says.
Kérastase Aura Botanica Bain Micellaire ($45) is nearly 96 percent natural, yet it foams like a synthetic shampoo—a true feat given its sulphate-free formula. Marianna Partevyan, beauty editor at ELLE Ukraine, loves how it deeply cleanses hair without stripping natural oils from the scalp.
“Coriander is not something that we usually associate with hair care, but what a wonderful surprise this mask was!” says Carolina Adães Pereira, beauty editor at ELLE Portugal, of the European-exclusive L’Oréal Paris Botanicals Fresh Care Coriander Strength Source Masque. “It leaves hair soft, without feeling heavy at all.”
Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam ($35) sops up oil and days-old product without the slightest bit of weight. “It’s also superb for adding ‘grip’ and texture so hair is that much easier to braid and bun afterwards,” says Eugene Quek, beauty editor at ELLE Singapore.
Emily Dougherty, beauty and fitness director at ELLE U.S., adores the texture of Sisley Paris Black Rose Skin Infusion Cream ($250). “I could go through a jar a day because it’s just so lovely to apply and apply and apply,” she says. “It’s more soothing than an hour with my therapist.”
Lancôme Visionnaire Crescendo ($105) “is the best solution for my skin after a long day working at my computer,” says Sonia Dressiou, beauty editor at ELLE Greece. “It removes dead skin surface cells and reveals a smoother, more even complexion.”
Kiehl’s Calendula & Aloe Soothing Hydration Masque ($55) gently calms irritated skin, and, says Katherine Flemming, ELLE Canada’s own health and beauty editor, the yellow hue “brightens my mood faster than a new photo of Charlie Hunnam.”
“True innovation in a crowded category is difficult to come by,” says Amy Starr, beauty and lifestyle director at ELLE Australia. Dior Diorshow Pump’N’Volume ($37) “is blacker than black and builds serious volume.”
Grace Wong, beauty editor at ELLE Malaysia, was “on the verge of giving up on matte liquid lip colours for good” when NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment ($34) arrived. “None compare with its longevity, finish and inky texture, which wraps around lips so seamlessly I keep forgetting it’s on.”
Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Gel Touch Foundation ($70) bathes skin in a soft-focus glow and a highly moisturizing hyaluronicacid derivative. “My skin loves this stuff!” says Sophie Beresiner, beauty director at ELLE U.K.
