The look: Dsquared, modern, wavy long locks
Ideal for: "You need to have at least collar bone length or longer hair to look like it has this lazy wave," recommends Terry. "Anything shorter will have a pyramid type of look."
Products:
This look seems simple, but you need to start with basics. Terry suggests using a thickening lotion (such as Redken's Thickening Lotion 06 Body Builder). "It gives it body and texture, fattens up the hair so it looks and feels thicker. It's the key to getting this type of wave and relaxed look," says Terry. For those who have thicker hair, use a lighter product, (such as Satin Wear 02 Ultimate Blow Dry Lotion), to give a little more control. It's best worked into damp hair to give and create more of a rough, cardboard type texture to the hair.
Make it everyday:
"This look is perfect as is for every day," explains Terry. Top it off with strong makeup Think dark rimmed eyes or a deep red pout since the strong makeup will compliment the less complicated hair.
Keep it modern:
To keep this look modern all you need to do is keep the colour updated. "Mahogany and wood-toned reds are very prevalent -- you can freshen up your look by cutting in bangs and changing the colour," Terry suggests.

Terry's steps on how to recreate this look.
* Blot hair excessively with towel, or paper towel to bring out the natural wave, or twist or braid hair when it's damp.
* Work in your thickening product to add to texture and keep wave in your hair.
* Blow dry using a diffuser if needed, or let your hair dry naturally to keep your own natural wave.
* Use your fingers to create pieces and texture while drying.
* Or, to add more wave or curl, use a curling iron by taking random sections with a 1 1/2 to 2-inch barrel, wrap them around to give a natural texture. (Don't do it to all of the hair, just sections to give a lazy wave).
The look: Calvin Klein, slicked back, '80s-inspiredIdeal for:
This look is ideal for sleek straight hair.
Products:
Nho suggests Lait Nutri-Sculpt by Kerastase, Megagel by Wella SP or No.5 Mat Pliable Stucco for Wizards by Davines. "These styling products will make your hair move whatever way you dictate."
Make it everyday:
"At Sassoon, our philosophy is create wash-and-wear hairstyles for everyday," Nhi says. To achieve this look, start with a precision haircut shaped to encourage hair to move away from the face, exposing the eyes and the cheekbones. An ideal length should sit at the nape of the neck.
Keep it modern:
To keep the look modern, skip the side or middle part and keep the look slicked back. Also keep the hair looking natural and try not to use products that will leave the hair looking greasy or shiny.

Nhi's steps on how to recreate this look.
* Apply Lait Nutri-Sculpt to freshly shampooed and conditioned hair.
* Blow-dry the hair with a Denman or a Vess Brush. Brush the hair from side to side to allow natural root lift.
* Once hair is thoroughly dried, apply an almond sized amount of Megagel or No. 5 Mat Pliable Stucco for Wizards on the palm of your hands, rub the product even on your hands.
* Then slowly run your fingers through your hair, starting at the front on the root area and encourage the hair to move away from the face. Apply more products if required.
* For a slicked back, wet look effect, apply an egg-sized amount of hair mousse, Supermousse by Wella SP, to wet hair. With a fine-tooth comb, begin to comb the hair back from the crown area. Work forward to the front hairline. Allow hair to air dry naturally.
