It's the circle of life! What goes around comes around! Etc.

"There's quite a push on accessories this season," hairstylist Anthony Turner told us backstage at Prabal Gurung's fall/winter 2018 show, referencing hair maestro Guido Palau's interpretation of CEO-chic the night before at Alexander Wang, which included '80s/'90s-era banana clips/hair claws (the correct term is somewhat under debate) emblazoned with the designer's name.

At Prabal, Turner added fuel to the flashback fire with stretch hair combs, which he used to anchor hair that was pulled back into a messy bun dubbed a "yoga knot." (It was inspired by the way Turner sees women style their hair at yoga classes he attends in London.)

"There's no real method to the knot, other than the quicker you do it, the better it's always going to be," says Turner, who scraped back hair using "quite a lot" of Wella Professionals EIMI Extra Volume Mousse.  "The more time you spend on it, the more considered it will be."

On the makeup front, Diane Kendal created a "soft, high-pigmented cheek" with a forthcoming M.A.C Cosmetics blush called Flirting With Danger—a look inspired by the matriarchal Mosuo tribe who live on the border of China and Tibet.

Brows were brushed up and lip balm was applied to lips; when it came to eyes, however, things were slightly more high maintenance.

Two shades of brown eyeshadow were applied to define the eye shape, followed by two sample shades of shimmering, golden copper-y looking lip glosses that were labelled "Colour Collision." The lighter colour was placed on the inner corner of the lid, and the darker shade on the outer corner.
