The jury has spoken! ELLE readers select their must-have beauty and hair care products.
Accolades for top beauty products were awarded last night in Montreal at the 2009 ELLE Canada/ELLE Quebec Beauty Grand Prix. More than 200 attendees representing 72 brands within the beauty care industry were on hand as the winners were revealed.
The annual awards ceremony honours top beauty products in 20 different categories. The competition is especially unique in that it is the only one in Canada that allows its readers to test the products and determine the winners. 750 ELLE Canada and ELLE Quebec readers from across the country tested 283 unlabelled, unmarked new and existing products over a 12-week period.
“The ELLE Beauty Grand Prix is a great program that our readers love,” explains ELLE Canada editor-in-chief Rita Silvan. “It’s a chance for them to try new products and become freelance beauty advisors to other readers telling them which hair, skin and make-up products perform the best.”
The ELLE Beauty Grand Prix is a great program that our readers love says Elle Canada Editor-in-Chief Rita Silvan.Adding to the excitement for 2009 was the addition of three new cosmetics categories; eyeliner, blush and tinted lip gloss as well as an expanded hair category that included hairspray, mousse and wax/pommade.
Overall, 47 winners were awarded in 43 categories.
The complete list of 2009 ELLE Canada/ELLE Quebec Beauty Grand Prix winners will be featured in the April issue of ELLE Canada, on newsstands March 9th.
