Craving some chocolate? You can be guilt-free with this new colour palette for fall.
Chocolate lovers can fly their colours this season, as all things brown are á la mode. "Chocolate is the new nude," says Paul Starr, director of the Estée Lauder National Makeup Artist Team.
He has created cocoa-inspired looks for such red carpet beauties as Jennifer Garner and Jada Pinkett Smith. "A chocolate-coloured palette creates a gorgeous fresh look that really complements every complexion," adds Starr. Colours range from browns to caramels to creams, and can be enhanced with hues of maraschino, rose and berry. "Chocolate is a rich, seductive colour, yet produces a clean, warm effect, giving the face a natural sophistication," says Starr. He suggests playing with different shades and layering -- be it a smoky eye you're after or a sexy pout. "My favourite lip is a sheer brown with a light caramel gloss overtop," recommends Starr. "It gives such a nice, polished look for fall." You'll be good enough to eat!
