Hollywood has come a long way since simply showcasing buxom blondes and leggy waifs in top-rated flicks. Today, casting agents and top 10 best-dressed lists are embracing a broader definition of "beauty" thanks to several ladies who are breaking the traditional "good looking" mold. Here are eight of our favourite celebrity beauty starlets.
Adele
Renowned for having one of the most incredible voices on the music scene, this British singer has also faced a tremendous amount of pressure to lose weight. But the 22-year-old celebrity beauty has vehemently fought back. She recently told Rolling Stone magazine, "My life is full of drama and I won't have time to worry about something as petty as what I look like. I don't like going to the gym... I like eating fine foods and drinking nice wine. Even if I had a really good figure, I don't think I'd get my t**s and a** out for no one." Amen to that.
Pippa Middleton
Not since Jennifer Lopez have women so readily been behind the idea of, well, supporting their behinds. Almost stealing the show from her sister Kate at the Royal Wedding in an Alice Temperley dress, Pippa's posterior has quickly caused women the world over to embrace curvy, round derrieres. The craze around her assets reached epic proportions when a Facebook page dedicated to her rump was created - the Pippa Middleton Ass Appreciation Society - and plastic surgeons started selling "Pippa Butt Lifts."
Zooey Deschanel
Quirky can be sexy, and that's definitely the case with Zooey Deschanel. The New Girl star has experimented with just about every look, from blonde hair to hipsterdom. Having settled on a feminine and flirtatious look, she's called attention to her big blue eyes and thick dark hair - a look not commonly seen in Hollywood. But it seems to be garnering this gal-next-door rave reviews from fans - and marketers are starting to listen. Deschanel is now the face of Rimmel (a company which received backlash after airbrushing the star into oblivion during a recent campaign) and Cotton.
