The winning beauty looks of NYFW F/W 2015

Best beauty day 1: Honor

Hair accessories are huge this season, and a pretty headband seems like a good way to start things off. Notable contendors: Marissa Webb, Creatures of the Wind, Tome. READ MORE: Editors weigh in on NYFW beauty looks - Part 1

Best beauty day 2: Rebecca Minkoff

Remember the shags Tom Ford sent down the runway at his S/S 15 show? We do. And we loved it. Which is why we are thrilled to see the look make a reappearance on the fall runways. Notable contendors: Wes Gordon, Tanya Taylor, Jason Wu, Rebecca Minkoff. READ MORE: Editors weigh in on NYFW beauty looks - Part 2

Best beauty day 3: Alexander Wang

That model? Behati Prinsloo. Only Alexander Wang can take a Victoria Secret model and send her down the runway looking like a moody Marilyn Manson. Notable contendors: Lacoste, Jill Stuart, Altuzarra, Misha Nonoo. READ MORE: Why we love the bold brows at Rag & Bone

Best beauty day 4: Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham held the monikier "posh spice" for a reason: the girl is put together. So when her models came down the runway with slick hair, untouched-looking skin and smudgy eyeliner, we knew this was going to be a thing. Notable contendors: Derek Lam, DKNY, DVF, Thakoon, Donna Karan. READ MORE: The best messy bun we've ever seen

Best beauty day 5: Reem Acra

Hair was parted firmly down the centre of the head on the spring 2015 runways, and the style is holding strong for fall 2015. While the hair at Reem Acra is certainly trendy, it's hardly originial: centre parts and loose, "bended" hair were seen at Tommy Hilfiger, Anna Sui, Rodarte, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Prabal Gurung, to just name a few. It's the decadent gold shadow slathered over the eyes that won us over. (And the golden nails didn't hurt their case, either.) Notable contendors: Carolina Herrera, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Zac Posen, Rag & Bone. READ MORE: The best nails from NYFW F/W 2015

Best beauty day 6: Rodarte

When one sticks strips of Swarvoski crystals under ones eyes, one will win beauty look of the day. Anytime, any place, anywhere. And that's all there is to say about that. Notable contendors: Badgely Mischka, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, Narciso Rodriguez. READ MORE: Up your ponytail game with this look from Carolina Herrera

Best beauty day 7: Jeremy Scott

This is a serious look-at-me look, we know. It's not wearable; no one (while maybe someone, but we do not encourage it) is going to pick up a wig, hack it to bits and slather it with acrylic paint before grocery shopping. But it’s day 7 of fashion week, and we need a little something extra in the hair and makeup department to give us day 1-level feelings of shock and amazement. Notable contendors: Michael Kors, Marchesa, Proenza Schouler, Boss. READ MORE: Editors weigh in on NYFW beauty looks - Part 3

Best beauty day 8: Marc Jacobs

On the final day of fashion week Marc Jacobs surprised us with a look that was radically different from the bare skin he sent down the S/S 15 runway. With Diana Vreeland as inspiration, François Nars created a matte face (foundation - it's back!) paired with a matte, velvety eggplant lip and a very 50s-looking brow. Notable contendors: Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein. READ MORE: Editors weigh in on NYFW beauty looks - Part 4
