Just when you think you've seen it all
backstage during fashion week
in the frenzy leading up to the show, there comes a magical photo-op moment that reminds of you the real beauty of this industry. As Tresemmé lead hair stylist Orlando Pita is describing the undone ponytail look he created for Diane Von Furstenberg's Fall 2015 show to a bevy of beauty editors crowding around, out comes Diane herself to startle even the most sleep-deprived journalists. Life made.
Oh, you know. NBD.
"The collection is inspired by seduction and this woman is kind of a double agent," he tells us about the look. "And were more inspired by the seductress at night, so at night she pulls her hair back into a low bun and has pieces hanging."
Pita achieve this look using Tresemmé's Get Sleek Perfect Polish Blow Dry Balm--first on wet hair and then again once dry to create "finger grooves". "We put in an elastic and do a messy bun in the back and as we twist the hair in the bun, we leave hairs out so it's not too perfectly done. And then we put the Perfectly Undone hairspray." Afterward pin everything in place.
"It looks effortless but it is hard to do because you have to fan all the hair out and still not get the middle part," he adds.
