Sure, they’ve been blessed with willowy physiques, long legs and beauty that makes them stand out from the crowd, but even
top models have to work at getting gorgeous and taking care of themselves. Take a cue from the
beauty resolutions these five famous faces have made for themselves to wake up your regime.

Decompress with a DIY spa Tori L., who graced
Elle Canada’s
July 2009 cover and has strutted the catwalk for Canadian design darlings DSquared2 three times, has a hectic schedule for 2010 and so she’s made a promise to make time for herself with an at-home spa. Her spa essentials? “A bath using Crabtree & Evelyn Mineral Revitalizing Soak, candles, magazines and no phone!” says the green-eyed beauty who has eight years of modeling experience under her belt.

Invest in makeup you love You’d think catwalkers would get bored with makeup, having their faces done and redone for the shows, but Addison Gill still gets excited with discovering new products to add her cosmetics bag. Addison just started modeling last year, but has been a very busy girl: She was not only named
Best New Face in Canada at the P&G Beauty Awards, she also won the
V magazine/Supreme Model Search, has been photographed for
Elle Canada, Italian Vogue, Teen Vogue, Flare and
Glow, and she’s done a ton of runway shows, including Jason Wu, Emporio Armani, Marchesa and Nanette Lepore. As for Addison’s new favourite beauty collection: Laura Mercier. “The tinted moisturizer is light and fresh and the natural colour palette adds that extra little glow to complete my look,” says the Caledonia, Ont., native. Another staple of hers is Burt’s Bee’s Radiance Day, Night, and Eye Creme. “I like the line because it is 99-percent natural and it soothes my skin even after a long day of makeup changes during
Fashion Week.”

Drink enough water You might be more familiar with Malin Akerman from seeing her on the big screen than on the runway. Her big break in modeling came about when she won the
Ford Supermodel of Canada title when she was 17 but she’s been working with Elite Model Management ever since, adding some impressive film credits to her CV (
Watchmen, Couples Retreat and
The Proposal, to name just a few). On set, expect to find her sipping H20. “I have to drink more water to keep my skin is well hydrated,” says the model/actress. Besides helping to keep your skin moisturized from the inside out, drinking enough water will help cleanse your system of toxins and impurities.

Protect your skin from the sun’s damaging rays Burnaby, B.C.-native Rebecca Hardy is making sure she uses facial cream regularly (you’ll find products from the Olay Professional Pro-X line in her makeup bag). “It’s important to use proper creams for night and SPF products in the day,” says the winner of
Canada’s Next Top Model, Cycle 2. “Although I use facial products now, being more on top of it will benefit me with beautiful skin now and in the future.” Since winning
CNTM, Hardy’s been busy traveling for shows and shoots, but what she loves most about the world that’s opened up for her is the opportunity to speak at local schools about how to reach positive goals.

Wash off makeup each and every night Long days of shooting mean that Malin sometimes goes to bed with her makeup on. “It happens every now and then when I’m extremely exhausted,” she says. Same goes for model Coco Rocha. “I have a bad habit of not thoroughly cleansing my face at night. For 2010 I hope to get into a nightly cleansing routine!” says Rocha who most recently walked the runways for designers including Zac Posen, Diane von Furstenberg in New York (she’s also had a busy schedule what with shooting
W editorials with Bruce Weber and appearing in Rimmel and Saks Fifth Avenue ads). Cleansing your face before going to bed is an absolute must – besides makeup, skin collects tiny dirt particles throughout the day, which can clog your pores and irritate your skin.

Get a tan – from a bottle “With warm weather around the corner I love to give myself a little colour,” says Tori. Her faux-tan of choice? L’Oréal Sublime Bronze. “I prefer using a lighter colour with a tint so I don’t get any streaks! Its a perfect staple for fashion week.”
