Like roses? This is the face mask for you

By: Vanessa Craft

I MADE FACE MASKS A THING.

I’m no run-of-the-mill face product, so take your time getting to know me. Before you apply me to your skin, take a moment to inhale my heady, romantic fragrance. You’ve been working way too hard. Please, stop and smell my flowers.

MY MOM & DAD BUILT AN EMPIRE AROUND ME.

Fresh was founded by Lev Glazman and Alina Roytberg in Boston in 1991. They combined their appreciation for natural ingredients with science and technology to create many iconic products, starting with Oval Soaps and then moving into body and face products like Brown Sugar Body Polish (the first exfoliant made with sugar to hit the market) and the beloved gentle
amino-acid-rich Soy Face Cleanser.

I'M MADE OF ROSES.

My amber-hued gel-like formula is made with Damask and Centifolia roses. Every spring in Turkey, farmers harvest the growth blossoms at sunrise, when oil yields are at their peak. These are distilled to extract the rose oil and rosewater that make me so special. There are two and a half roses in each jar; the petals melt
softly into your skin.

I KNOW HOW TO MAKE YOUR SKIN GLOW.

Let’s make a deal: You put me on your clean, moist skin for five to 10 minutes and then rinse me off; in return, I’ll romance your skin into a state of soothed, toned, radiant bliss. (My cucumber extracts, aloe-vera gel and antioxidant-rich green tea help with that too.)

I GOT A NEW OUTFIT FOR MY BIRTHDAY.

Acclaimed British artist Jo Ratcliffe designed my beautiful limited-edition jar in celebration of my 15th birthday. She wanted to give my floral pattern movement and life, something a little “wild looking.” The result of Fresh’s first-ever collaboration is a roses-upon-roses design that brings my “sensorial essence” to life.
