Hair was left with a natural part and using a large barrel curling iron, he made four long sections of curls in the back of the head, with two sections on each side of the head – starting the curl at about eye level. “It should look like the model’s been wearing a hat all dar that she’s pulled off,” he says. The look is inspired by the 70s, “but not as feathered and brushed out,” he says, noting that the curls were loosely finger brushed out and finished with a light spray of Elnett hairspry. Eddie Malter used Infallible in Time Resistant White 001 all over the lid then working from the outside in, he applied L’Oreal Mono Eyeshadow in Gilded 825 smudging to blend the colours. Then with Infallible in Chocolate 012, he blended all the colours together, and repeated the same three colours along the bottom lash line, finishing with a highlight of Time Resistant White on the inner corner. Then using Kohl Pencil in Carbon Black, he lined the eyes and added several coats of L’Oreal False Fibre Lash mascara (“to give the lashes a spidery effect,” he says). Cheeks were contoured using a slightly darker face powder with the cheekbone highlighted with eyeshadow in the shade Morning Light. Tip: To help eyeshadow stay put and not crease, apply a matte face powder after you’ve applied foundation. Also, if any stray eyeshadow trickles onto your face when you apply, Eddie says to simply take a sponge with some matte powder and sweep it away. We're loving (loving!) this look, both hair and makeup-wise. What do you think?
