She’s all that
Elle is the latest olfactory creation from Yves Saint Laurent. Housed in a bright fuchsia bottle, the woody-floral blend contains notes of citrus, peony and bourbon vetiver and is available in eau de parfum, body lotion and shower gel.

A roll of Lancôme’s Destiny Cube — stamped with flirty adjectives like “coquette” — will decide your look for the day. Inside the die-shaped compact are two palettes: a smoky eyeshadow duo and a lipstick with matching gloss. The limited edition piece was created by French fashion designer Alexis Mabille, known for his jewellery collections for Christian Dior.

A:“When you’re outside, always wear a hat and sunglasses to prevent squinting,” says Dr. Lisa Kellett of DLK On Avenue ( dlkonavenue.com). “Wear a face cream that has an SPF of 30 or higher all year long, and use an eye cream that contains either vitamin A or C — both are antioxidants that fight sun damage. Professionally, Botox injections can be used to relax the muscles that lead to crow’s feet; results last about four months. For longer-lasting results, a derm can perform Thermage, a procedure that uses radio frequency to tighten the collagen around the eyes, or use an erbium laser to gently burn off the lined skin and firm the eye area.”

Kate Winslet hasn’t won an Oscar yet, but to beauty insiders she has attained something just as significant. In September, the English actress became the spokesmodel for Lancôme’s bestselling fragrance, Trésor, replacing Inés Sastre, who reigned as its ambassador for 11 years. The announcement was made in June in Paris, where Winslet welcomed beauty journalists to an exclusive dinner at the Musée Rodin. “You should notice someone’s fragrance when you hug her,” she said. “It should just be a moment that triggers a response rather than something that enforces the entire evening.” Coinciding with Winslet’s appointment is the launch of a limited-edition elixir of the original Trésor scent.
