Earthly delights
Take a cue from mother nature this month with shades of earthy green shadow. At Donna Karan and Laura Biagiotti, models sported a woodsy palette of moss, leaf and grass. Landscape your lids and watch the admirers come out of the woodwork.

What's new:
Cheeks should flush from a vacation fling, not rosacea. Dermalogica's latest offering contains oat kernel extract and licorice, which calm inflammation, and comes in a sheer green tint to camouflage redness.

Garden party
Every product in the Juice Organics line -- from cleansers to moisturizers to exfoliating peels -- uses fruit and vegetable juice concentrates instead of water as its base. Each application quenches thirsty skin with a cocktail of anti oxidants, vitamins and hydroxy acids.

Must-have: Future perfect
With its sleek metal packaging, Yves Saint Laurent's anti-aging kit has futuristic flair and function. The mask's biopeptide complex combats wrinkles, while wheat extract soothes and glycolic acid exfoliates. A wrinkle-filling pen enables targeted plumping.

Ask a derm:
Question: What bare essentials do I need to care for my skin in the summer?
Answer:"In this heat, you shouldn't need more than a few products," says Dr. Lisa Kellett of DLK On Avenue. "Sunblock is vital. If you are prone to acne, a non-pore-clogging spray would be best. For cleansing, you can use your usual face wash, although people with oilier skin can switch to an exfoliating wash. If you get a lot of sun, choose a non-foaming liquid cleanser, which will be less drying. Toner is not necessary, but it can give a cooling feeling that's welcome in warm weather. Then moisturize with a light lotion or gel-based product."
Olay Refreshing Toner, $5.49
Dior HydrAction Visible Defense Hydra-Protective Light Crème SPF 20, $65

Tea zone
• What is it? Kiehl's Yerba Maté Tea skin-care line.
• What does it do? This new range includes a cleanser, a toner and a multi-tasking lightweight moisturizer that not only minimizes the appearance of fine lines but also boosts radiance and improves skin texture and clarity.
• How does it work? It contains an extract of tea made from the yerba maté tree, an evergreen found in subtropical forests in Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. Called “the drink of the gods” by locals, the tea is known for its ability to enhance vitality, reduce fatigue and improve immune defences, thanks to a combination of 24 vitamins and minerals, 15 amino acids and 11 antioxidants. In
fact, “Yerba maté is so rich in nutrients that it's considered one of the most potent antioxidants ever discovered,” says Donna Paty, national education manager for Kiehl's. “It helps reverse the breakdown of collagen and helps skin maintain a healthy glow.” Other ingredients include honey (seals in moisture), lemon (refreshes) and another tea called kom bucha (helps smooth the skin). The products are oil-free and suitable for all skin types.
Yerba Maté Tea Lotion, $42 and Yerba Maté Tea Cleanser, $28
