1. The clean, smooth, all-American hair at Tommy Hilfiger

Katherine Flemming, health and beauty editor: I love that the centre part trend is still going strong; when paired with shiny and smooth (but not limp) texture, it’s a winning combo.
Victoria DiPlacido, assistant beauty editor: I was never (okay, rarely) the football watching type, but this my-hair-is-so-shiny-from-sitting-in-cold-wind-for-hours look makes me want to grab a letterman’s jacket and sit down for a game.
Ava Baccari, assistant fashion editor: The high-shine locks at Tommy perfectly complemented the easy, sporty vibe of the fall collection. Total touchdown.

2. The seriously bling-y nails at Badgley Mischka

KH: These OTT nails are fascinatingly bad. But intriguingly good. I can’t decide. I’m split down the middle.
VDP: There is a time and a place to sport these glittery, glittery nails. I just haven’t quite figured out what it is yet.
AB: This was a very literal way to bring the Midas touch into your beauty routine, with sparkly tips dripping in gold.

 3. The Swarovski crystals as under-eye concealer at Rodarte
(Image: Evaan Kheraj)

KF: I almost always shudder when I’m within a five foot proximity to crystal anything, but makeup artist James Kaliardos’ execution of these glimmering lower lids thrilled me. It’s no wonder security is crazy tight at this show; the makeup ALWAYS delivers the goods.
VDP: Late night out? No problem. Hide your under-eye circles a la Rodarte, with a string of perfectly placed crystals.
AB: James Kaliardos for Nars strung together sparkling Swarovksi crystals and placed them along the centre lower lash line, which perfectly reflected light around the models’ eyes. It was a magical way to draw attention to the lower lashes without mascara.

4. The sixties eye makeup at Rachel Zoe
(Image: Instagram/Ctilburymakeup)

KH: SO MANY LASHES! The 60s mod-turn at Rachel Zoe felt classic, but not exactly fresh. Are we fighting?
VDP: The wide-eyed 60s beauty look has been done – and done and done – before, but Tilbury’s take is pared-down look she called “Twiggy’s daughter.”
AB: Charlotte Tilbury’s strong ’60s influence played out in soft and pretty pink lips and cheeks against a stark liquid cat eye that would make Twiggy proud.

5. The liquid liner at Marc by Marc Jacobs
(Image: Imaxtree.com)

KH: This is the liner I always dream about but because I’ve been cursed with greasy eyelids, I can NEVER achieve. It’s a subtle shift from last season’s waterline execution, and this version feels a bit more modern.
VDP: Along with ponytails (and if you read part one of our roundup, you know how I feel about ponytails), eyeliner is something I believe you really can’t go wrong with. Grab a black liner and smudge along your inner and outer lash lines – the messier the better.
AB: This was a striking take on the liquid cat eye – with liner tracing all around the upper and lower lash lines –  for a very strong ’80s-inspired collection.

6. The sculpted face at Donna Karan

KH: You can always count on Charlotte Tilbury to deliver a dramatic, yet shapely makeup execution. I’m surprisingly drawn to all of this taupe, as subtle as it seems.
VDP: This is a beauty look I highly encourage to  be replicated at home.
AB: The kind of strong, chiseled cheekbones that just won’t quit –  love how it was contrasted with a neutral lip and soft brows.
