Kate Middleton wasn't holding back on the real talk on her first public appearance of 2017.
Visiting a treatment centre for parents with personality disorders, the Duchess of Cambridge was overheard telling one of the women receiving help:
"Parenting is tough," she said. "And with the experiences you've all witnessed, to do that on top of your own anxieties, and the lack of support you also received as mothers... I find it extraordinary how you've managed actually."
She also mentioned elsewhere that before arriving at the centre she'd just left "a room of six under threes" which we're taking to mean Princess Charlotte had the crew over for brunch and a marathon of Paw Patrol.
PS. That's a brand new Eponine coat K. Middy's wearing, FYI, which can be yours for around $2500 CAD.

Including two of her daughter's favourite lip liners.
Caitlyn Jenner is releasing a makeup collection with M.A.C Cosmetics, following the launch of her "Finally Free" lipstick with the brand last spring. The collection includes three new lipsticks (one of which is an online exclusive), lip gloss, eyeshadows, eyeliners, lashes and blush/bronzer, all in "elegant, classic shades...beautifully suited for those who embrace life, in whatever form they choose," says the brand in a press release. The two lip liners, "Soar," described as a mid-tone pinkish brown and "Whirl," a dirty rose, are reportedly favourites of Jenner's youngest daughter, Kylie.
"I'm excited for EVERYONE (all races. all ages. all sexes) to fearlessly rock these shades into 2017," said the 67-year-old in an Instagram post, referencing M.A.C's longtime mission statement. The collection will be available in-store and online January 5. See it in its entirety, below.

Canadian singer Kiesza is launching a collection with M.A.C Cosmetics. Image by: ELLE Canada
Canadian beauty giant M.A.C Cosmetics has teamed up with Canadian musician Kiesza for a four-piece makeup collection. Two of the products, Big Brow Pencil in Cork and Liquidlast Liner in Point Black, are the singer's longtime favourite from the brand. The lip products, a Vamplify Lip Gloss and lipstick, are both '90s-esque "vampy brown" shades – a throwback to the era when the company began it's meteoric rise – and feature prominently in her new work. "My passion for music translated well into my makeup collaboration," explains the Calgary-born artist. "So much so that my Lipstick in Dearly Beloved is also the name of my new single and I’m wearing the shade in my new music video."

"Makeup serves the same purpose as fashion to me," says Kiesza. "It's a form of expression that allows me to display externally, what I'm feeling beneath the surface. It's like an extension of my personality. My face and body become the canvas as I turn myself into my own ever-changing works of art. As I wander through each day, the world is my gallery."
The collection launches in-store a month today, on February 9th.
