2. Marc Jacobs Under(Cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer

Two years ago, American design powerhouse Marc Jacobs was sipping coconut water on a beach in Brazil when he was struck with the idea of incorporating the ubiquitous fruit’s benefits into his products. Enter the Under(Cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer. A silicone-free alternative to synthetic primers, this fragrant formula uses five vitamin-rich parts of the coconut, including coco caprylate, which helps prep skin for makeup. 3. Kérastase Bain Thérapiste and Soin Premier Thérapiste

Lather, rinse, repeat is so last season. If you have fine hair, your new shower routine should be to use the lightweight conditioner Kérastase Soin Premier Thérapiste (with its protective amino acids and wheat protein) before shampooing. This change-up helps boost volume as conditioner can weigh down fine strands, which are made of smaller fibres than other hair types. 10. Odacité Oleosomes Time Release Delivery Crème

We get schooled in customizing skincare by Valérie Grandury, founder of organic skincare brand Odacité. Lesson 1. Thanks to pollution, stress and hormones, skin is always changing. So should your skincare. “There’s no such thing as one product treats all,” says Parisian-born Grandury, whose 18 mix-and-match serums allow you to choose combinations for your skin type. Lesson 2. When in doubt, try the A-student of oils: wild-carrot-seed oil, which contains vitamins A, C and E and gives skin a healthy glow. Lesson 3. Oils, beauty’s MVP for 2015, coat skin to keep in moisture, but they don’t hydrate. That’s why Grandury launched her Odacité Oleosomes Time Release Delivery Crème. Add two drops of serum to it or use it on its own. The cream contains oleosomes (energy stores found in oil-bearing plant seeds), hydrating hyaluronic acid and carrot-seed oil. Odacité Oleosomes Time Release Delivery Crème ($75), at thedetoxmarket.com. READ MORE: Tilda Swinton's 10 boss beauty secrets (they include chip fat)
