Celebrity 911: Hollywood's worst dressed

The following fabulous artists have been guilty of making not-so-brilliant fashion decisions. That's why ELLE Canada asked three of Canada's top fashion know-it-all's to revamp these four desperate celebs wardrobes into coveted styles you'll want to emulate.

The Designer: Paul Hardy
Canadian born and based, Hardy began as a design school graduate, to a personal shopper, to his current status as acclaimed fashion designer. His celebrity list of clientele includes Alanis Morisette, the O.C.'s Kelly Rowan and Sandra Oh. "I love the freedom of being my own boss," says Hardy. "I would rather be poor and have that asset than wealthy and live at the mercy of my circumstances."

The Victim: Britney Spears

Typically when you come into money, one would hope that your style would improve. She is prone to overexposure of everything even when she is dressed. She should move away from rapper video chic -- now that K-Fed has been FedExed -- and seek a sleeker look. A more modest neckline could improve her trailer park image.

The Victim: Lindsay Lohan

Her bout with rehab has helped her immensely. Here she should be wearing a set of full tights or leggings. I recently saw her wearing rather high-waisted shorts, although a trend, did not work. It's a tough look to pull off with such white skin. Also, pink does not work well with her skin tone.

The Victim: Nicolette Sheridan

She fails by not dressing age appropriate. She needs to stop the low-cut epidemic too. A softer look would make her look like she's not grappling for her youth. Donna Karan and Doo. Ri jerseys would be good lines. She should avoid the lingerie as outerwear shops. Find out where to buy your favourite designer by checking out ELLE Canada's Shopping Guide!

The Victim: Paula Abdul

She always has too much of everything on. Too much print, too much pattern, too much jewelry, too much hair, it is all too much! Small people often try to overcompensate for their height. She needs to tone it down and simplify. Skinny jeans will elongate her legs because she is petite. A high-waisted skirt or belt works because she is not too busty.
