Celebrity 911: Hollywood's worst dressed

The following fabulous artists have been guilty of making not-so-brilliant fashion decisions. That's why ELLE Canada asked three of Canada's top fashion know-it-all's to revamp these four desperate celebs wardrobes into coveted styles you'll want to emulate.

By Stephanie Gray

The Buyer: Lisa Corbo
Initially a buyer and merchandiser in Australia, Corbo worked at Holt Renfrew after settling in Toronto. Eventually she joined her husband at the Corbo Boutique in Yorkville. Now she's focusing on their new and highly successful luxury boutique george C. "Being credible to the designers you love is very flattering," gushes Corbo, "but the ultimate is when your client calls you to ask what lipstick to wear with the frock she brought from you last November."

The Victim: Britney Spears

My advice is she should wear only black for at least the next two years and keep it simple (call Jennifer Aniston when in doubt.) She should fly into Toronto for an immediate style-adjustment. Once in this great city, she can get inspired, add a more conservative spin -- or go back to basics -- and still go wild on accessories. Hair pulled back, Pout lipgloss, Etro bangles and a stunning Zagliani silver snakeskin bag -- this is all she needs!

The Victim: Lindsay Lohan

Her fashion choices here don't work for her: the reason -- overkill, overkill, overkill! Wear one trend at a time. She should accessorize less and create more mystique. To create a modern identity she should select collections like 6267 and Albino with their avant-garde couture fabrications and impeccable cut. Find out where to buy your favourite designer by checking out ELLE Canada's Shopping Guide!

The Victim: Nicolette Sheridan

Nicolette's first no-no is that self-confidence is not always a blessing. A more structured approach in her clothing choices would still reveal sexiness, but would add more soffisticazione. I would love to see her discover Costume National for her lean body type. She should wear J-Brand denim with a Rachel Pally red and white stripe skinny top, topped off with an amazing Neil Barrett leather jacket. Eat your heart out Teri Hatcher!

The Victim: Paula Abdul

Paula has been in TV wonderland for so long that she forgets to match her top half with her sexy bottom silhouette. I would love to see her embrace her fabulous body type by bringing her look to a softer level. I insist on a quick trip to New York. Derek (as in Lam) should become her best friend. She needs clothing that is made for women -- sophisticated and still sexy.
