4. He's a slave to biology
Does your man have a rubber neck? Well, he can't help it -- at least not entirely. "Men are much more susceptible to just the physical," says Dr. Leman. "They look." That being said, he adds, "A man has to understand how a woman sees life. A woman is going to be upset when her guy checks out other women, and I think a woman is justified to take that personally." The bottom line? It's all a matter of degrees -- the difference between noticing and ogling. So before you get mad, figure out where his behaviour sits on the scale, and whether it's really worth fighting about.
5. He craves excitement -- and fulfillment
Want to keep your relationship going smoothly? Make sure to satisfy your man's needs in the bedroom -- and make sure he's doing the same for you. One way to keep him wanting more? Harness the power of his imagination. "Anticipation is greater than participation," says Dr. Leman, who suggests slipping lacy panties and a sexy note in your guy's lunchbox as one way to ensure you're in his thoughts all day long. "That man will salivate like a hungry dog looking at a steak bone all day long just thinking about that," he says.
6. He needs to be needed
To keep him happy, make him your He-Man, even if you secretly don't need one. "Tell him what a great lover he is," says Dr. Leman. "Tell him what a great provider he is." After all those years of reading comic books and watching superhero cartoons, your man just wants to be needed -- and to feel like he's saved the day. "Men have a warrior-like instinct," says Dr. Leman. "They get jollies out of protecting. He wants to be able to do some things for you where he feels needed by you." Bottom line? "He wants to be your hero." So help him be the Superman to your Lois Lane, and the rest will be a walk in the park.
