Make the return of '20s glamour this holiday season with jewel-encrusted barrettes and feathered combs. "Hair accessories are a festive way to dress up your hair without a lot of effort, and you can place them anywhere," says Justin German, Canadian spokesperson for Pantene and co-owner of Shagg Salon in Toronto.
But they only flatter hair that is healthy from root to tip. Battle the drying effects of winter weather by shampooing and conditioning hair with Pantene's Winter Rescue products. For body, add mousse and blow-dry hair, taming flyaways with an anti-frizz serum. "Simplicity is best," says German. "Don't try to overstyle your hair and then add the accessory as an afterthought. The eye should be drawn to it, as if it's a work of art."
For a regal look, pull hair into a low bun, running several glittery pins above the hairline like a tiara. Headband lovers can join the fun by sliding or gluing a decorative clip right onto the band, jazzing up an old standard.
